Community Petition to Support Workers Rights

& to End the Exploitation of Workers

As community members, we are concerned about reports of labor rights violations at various work places on Pioneer Blvd in Artesia, California and 7-11 convenience stores across Los Angeles.  We urge the business owners to do the right thing and not violate the labor laws in California.  By signing below, we, as concerned community members uphold the following as it relates to workers in our community:

1. We believe that all workers should get living wages and their human dignity must be respected.
2. We demand that workers in our community work in a safe and healthy work environment.  Employers must provide enough training and protection for workers to do their job. 
3. All workers are protected by California labor laws, regardless of their immigration status.  Employers must treat all workers equally.
4. Employers must not intimidate abuse and/or threaten to “fire” workers if they stand up for their rights.
5. I/we will boycott and not support businesses that violate the laws and mistreat their workers.
